Your Site's Privacy Policy

As per our Supply Policies, Sortable and the partners we work with require every website to have a privacy policy with key information included.

Where should the Privacy Policy be linked?

Your website's privacy policy should be linked within plain view on your website's home page. Typically, this is linked in either the footer or the main menu and contains the word "Privacy". Demand partners look for this, and if they cannot find it, your website may not be approved for that partner.

What should be included in a Privacy Policy?

Your privacy policy must include:

  • Clear definitions of the use of third-party cookies and data tracking for advertising purposes
  • An opt-out link as described at NAI Consumer Opt-Out
  • Compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for EU users, CCPA for California Users, and any other privacy regulations

Your privacy policy must also be clearly written for the website it is placed on and the company that owns the website (the domain and company name must match the one Freestar is working with).

Example Privacy Policy

The following example privacy policy may be used on your website by replacing the (COMPANY NAME) and (DOMAIN NAME) references to match your company and domain. The example below only includes the information Freestar requires and does not cover all legal obligations you may need to include in your privacy policy. The example does not include all information required for GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations. You are responsible for ensuring your privacy policy is up to date with all current regulations.

If you already have a privacy policy that contains the required information you do not need to change or replace it.
